Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use mycollectorsvault.com and the MyCollectorsVault service, including any related mobile or web application (the "Service"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. "MyCollectorsVault," "we," "us," and "our" refer to PMK17Labs Inc., the operator of the Service.
1. Information we collect
We collect personal information only when you provide it or as needed to run the Service:
Account data. When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials, plus your username and any profile information you choose to add (display name, bio, profile picture).
Content you provide. We collect the photos, item descriptions, catalog entries, comments, likes, and follow relationships you submit or create on the Service ("User Content"). Photos may retain incidental file metadata depending on how you upload them; we do not require or extract location metadata from your photos.
Early access / waitlist data. If you sign up for early access before general availability, we collect the email address you submit so we can notify you when access is granted.
Usage data. When you use the Service, our hosting provider logs limited technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages or profiles you visit, for security and to operate the Service. Our analytics are privacy-friendly: they are aggregated, do not set advertising cookies, and are not used to identify you personally.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information.
2. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Create and manage your account, catalog, and profile;
- Operate the follow, feed, and like features, and display your content to other users consistent with your chosen visibility settings (public, followers-only, or private);
- Send early-access notifications and service-related communications you have signed up for;
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service;
- Respond to support requests and content reports;
- Detect and prevent abuse, impersonation, or fraud; and
- Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
We send marketing or product-update emails only to people who have opted in (e.g., via early-access sign-up). Every such email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw your consent at any time.
3. Cookies and analytics
We use only the cookies needed to run the Service (for example, to keep you signed in and remember your display preferences). Our analytics measure site usage in aggregate without setting advertising cookies and without identifying you personally. We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising, and we do not allow third parties to track you across other websites through our Service.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share data only with:
- Other users, to the extent you make content public or share it with your followers, consistent with your chosen visibility settings;
- Service providers that process data on our behalf under contract, such as hosting/infrastructure providers, cloud storage providers (for photos and other User Content), and email-delivery or analytics providers;
- Law enforcement or other parties where required by law, to enforce our Terms & Conditions, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public; and
- A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy or a materially similar one.
5. Your privacy choices
You can control the visibility of your profile and catalog items (public, followers-only, or private) at any time through your account settings. You can unsubscribe from marketing or product-update emails at any time using the link in any email. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing team@mycollectorsvault.com.
6. California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it; to access, correct, or delete your information; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Because we do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, no opt-out of sale or sharing is necessary. To exercise your rights, email team@mycollectorsvault.com; we will verify your identity before responding.
Do Not Track: because there is no common industry standard for responding to "Do Not Track" browser signals, our Service does not currently respond to them. We do not use cookies for cross-site tracking.
7. Other U.S. state privacy rights
Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws (such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Texas) have rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of their personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising and the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. To exercise any of these rights, email team@mycollectorsvault.com. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
8. EEA/UK users (GDPR)
Because MyCollectorsVault is available to visitors around the world, people in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom may use it. If you are in the EEA or the UK, our legal bases for processing are: your consent for marketing or early-access emails, which you may withdraw at any time; the performance of our contract with you in providing the Service and its social/catalog features; and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service and in preventing abuse or impersonation. You have the rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, and object to our processing, and to data portability. Your data is processed in the United States by us and our service providers; where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU/UK Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for international transfers. To exercise your rights, email team@mycollectorsvault.com; you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. Data retention
We keep account and User Content data for as long as your account is active, and as needed to comply with our legal obligations. When you delete a piece of User Content, it is generally removed from public view immediately, though residual copies may persist for a limited period in backups. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal information, except where we are required to retain it.
10. Information security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including your uploaded photos and account credentials. No method of transmission or storage over the Internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. This is consistent with our Terms & Conditions, which require users to be at least 18 years old. If you believe a child under 18 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above.
